When I went back to Sydney for Xmas I found one of my large canvases in storage; so I decided to buy some paints to start a painting that I could finish when I go back to Sydney later this year. Its very large piece (1.8m x 1.1) - I haven't painted something this size for quite some time!! This painting is partly inspired by a quote I heard from another artist - hence the paintings title "Lollipops and Sunshine". It shows the perfect family portrait - but all is not what it seems as the turmoil of their lives is hidden in the abstract background of the painting. I"m looking forward to finishing this off in September!!
